hands up for house music

Yeah yeah, i know havent posted in ages. I'm not dead tho, promise.

Thought i'd come back with a bit of home rep styley, biggin up Bristols awesome dance scene. Cuz it is awesome. Great clubs, great producers and great people to benefit from them.

So anyway. You all probs know about Eats Everything by now aka Dan Pearce, Bristol lad, making it big. He's had some good support from andy n jaymo over the last year or so (they too have supported the bristol scene) and he's really starting to break onto the airwaves. Which is good.

Deeply tech house. Spot the obvious sample and win a prize!* (*there is no prize)

Waifs and Strays aka Amos Nelson and Rich Beanland (dunno which is which) are also two local lads breaking out from the murks of brizzle. Getting support and airplay from radio 1 last summer, especially with this track. Less deep, more funky, but definitely not funky, techy house.

Waifs and Strays - Yeah Yeah

And finally this. Different spectrum entirely, but still a good representation of a big part of the Bristol scene. Bristol have more break beat nights that 1 man could possibly handle (tbh 1 is too many) and you could argue the dubstep scene rose, or at least, was always a part of Bristol's nightlife. So Redlight, merging all of that, held together (thank god) by some classic housey vibes and produces tracks like this. Which is already getting ridiculous amounts of airplay and will continue to do so. Bigness.

Redlight - Get Out My Head

All these are 128, so go buy the 320's ya cheapos.
