New cudder is pretty much old cudder. I mean, Kid Cudi can do no wrong in my eyes, i like this, but its just not a movement forward.

After god knows how many months, Anna lunoes 'Breath' has video to go with

Elliphant ft.Niki and the dove - More Fire
Really hope this means a wave of The Shoes remixes. The blogosphere needs them

Flight Facilities

Finally the much anticipated new track from Flight Facilities.

However, its not the perfection i was hoping for and tbh, am used to. Its good n all and will def be a grower, but its just not exactly a track i would use if i was was showing Flight Facilities to someone for the first time.

I mean whistling and a ticking clock? they are not nice sounds...

Fenech Soler

Saw Fenech Soler again last night. Literally lost count how many times ive seen them now, such a great band to see live. So much energy from frontman Ben. Can't begin to describe here how tight they are, how engaging it all is. Its just pure energy on stage.

Anyway, hate that they are still so unknown away from the blogs. This is their next single from 'rituals', the awkward second album, that just so happened to turn out awesome.

Once again, i dont like many male singer/songwriters. I do like like Lincoln Jesser tho.
oooo, housey.

Saw a band that i've liked for a while for the first time last night. Wolf Alice, four piece londoners. Female vocalist, they play kinda alternative rock n roll, but every now n then produce something a little better than that. As in the form of 'Bros' and this, 'Blush'.

Ellie Rowsell is a bit of a superstar in the making.

Sick of cool french men always winning? nah, me neither. Gesaffelsteins debut album is out now. And its a monster.
b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b ino.

uuaarrrrgh, cant wait for this album.

Elliphant

New track from Elliphant is by far her most radio friendly, approachable track to date. Personally, i think its also her worst. Where have those basslines gone?!

Maybe it will take tracks like this for her to blow up into the mainstream, even if her stuffs hot enough already. Pop songs make money and get played, so why not i guess...

The new Bloody Beetroots album 'Hide' is just, awesome. Yes, the usual insane electro majesty from the mad italian that is Bobby rifo, but also some perfect little pop songs in there too.

lioke diss.

imagine if all pop music was as perfect as this

GotSome

Spose i should represent.....

Bristol has always been pretty big on its music scene, but over the last few years we've become a little hotbed of everything relevant in dance music. With that in mind....

You've probs heard it floating about for a while and now its picking up support with airplay and remixes to boot.

GotSome, two local lads that grew up and out of the bristol club scene. Which nowdays, equals awesome. Check their soundcloud

And for a complete change up.

This is a weird one cuz its not a track that has an obvious place on the airwaves, but its good enough. Production is great and Gambino's little cameo is sweet.

What better way to celebrate the launch of Fenech Solers 'Rituals' than to share (what im pretty sure is) the first ever track i heard from them, god knows how many years ago.

An awesome remix form the legend that is Alan Braxe. Could easily have been made last week...

Fenech Soler - Cult Of The Romance (Alan Braxe remix)

Stream the new record here. And go buy it afterwards, u tight thieving little miscreants.

MK continues to do good things with his latest remix of 'My head is a jungle'. He's really on it when it comes to picking tracks to remix and i cant get a frickin nuff of it. Anyway this old remix of his is gettin a load of airplay now for some reason and is pretty much still my favorite of them all.
 Housey.

Anna Lunoe

Loving this bizniz.

Freaky

Not saying this is sex music. But this is sexy music.

Jodeci - Freek' N You (M.K Dub)

big Grum remix coming soon.
so this is out to buy in the uk now.

Sometimes you need music to go and lay on the beach in the sun to. This is it.

I like the original but i love this remix. Perfect summer tune.

Banks

The much hyped Banks is back, with what i would say is her least interesting song to date. But hey, i havent done a post up on her yet, so here it is.

She comes, as many many others have done recently, on the back of the chillwave, uh, wave. That seems to be taking over the uh... air...waves? fuck, too many waves.

Anyway, shes pretty decent, just not much different from the others floating around atm. Altho, she is hot and skinny and from LA, so she will get a load of decent airtime.

Heres a sexy video!

And heres a frickin awesome dubby, sub bass beast of a remix from dubstep nobodies djemba djemba.

Banks - Fall Over (Djemba Djemba remix)

Booyah!

Fuck me sideways.

Some tracks just come out of absolutely nowhere catching the right sound, but somehow standing out on their own.

This is one of those tracks.

If you dont wanna go crazy on that drop, then you are not welcome here.

ELLIPHANT

Why Ellinor Olovsdotter, aka Elliphant, hasnt blown up in the UK i dont know. The blogs and tumblr kids love her, she just hasnt broke out into the real world yet.

Idk, she needs a new promoter or something, cuz everything else about her is perfect. Yet another hot Swedish girl who chose music instead of modelling. This is about as pop as she gets, but check her stuff out and tell me im wrong.

Elliphant - Music is life

Safe with you

Alex Metric teams up with Jacques Lu Cont to take his hand at an out n out pop record, and wins!

Malin, from 'Niki and the dove' adds her perfect, crisp, sexy as fuck european vocals to it and it just comes together as the perfect commercial dance track. Imagine if great producers made pop songs all the time?!

Bino is back

and doesnt miss, a, beat.

Great tune from Alan Wilkis but bino is at his best here. Fuckin love this.

All that i know is i wont be minding..

months late on this, blah blah blah.

Of all the remixes this is the only one worth bothering with. Hard to top the original tho, i mean, that bass? headphones on now.

Hot Natured - Reverse Skydiving (Benoit and Sergio remix)

maya jane coles

'Deeper' house is obviously getting a lot or airplay atm. Which some people seem to bitch and moan about, cuz theyve been getting wasted in some underground basement til 5am to it for years now....

well, boohoo. Popular music has shone light on sub genres since, forever. Its good to get house music on the airwaves, even if its the saccharin dumbed down radio friendly versions that we're hearing right now. The real stuff is still out there ya know.

Here, deep house meets Swedish indie alternative in the form of Karin Park.

Maya Jane Coles - Everything (Ft. Karin Park)

parachute youth sigma rmx

In other aussie news, Parachute Youths 'Cant get better than this' (which Sam la more co-produced) is getting a full UK release on the 16th June. Pretty much the dance track of last year? Its finally getting a nice launch over here, with promo and tour dates almost a year and a half after hitting the blogs.

Altho, annoyingly so far, this remix is getting more airplay than the original. D n B london based duo, Sigma, do their usual production style on this. Expansive dnb, not the original, but a decent twist.

Parachute Youth - Can't get better than this (Sigma remix)

Hoping to see Parachute Youth at club nme in june. boom ting.

After his exploits as Tonite Only and co-producing Parachute Youth amongst other things, Sam La More is back with some of his own productions, at long last, with the big room stunner 'Adrenaline'. This louder but brasher remix is from fellow aussies SCNDL.

Tbh, the original absolutely kicks the ass of any of the remixes out there. Its a big room anthemic track yes, but sams production is so clean, it takes it beyond the average 'edm' labeled trash out there.  Also features the voice of Gary Go. But ill forgive that.

Sam La More Ft. Gary Go - Adrenaline (SCNDL Remix)

(Also, as i write, Sams in the studio with brother Nick Littlemore creating the new pnau record. When those two work together, magic always happens) I assume brother Littlemore laid down the guitars for this, but thats just me guessing.  Expect more stuff to released throughout the summer and hopefully some uk dates if this single blows up like it should do.

The remix and original are out now on Beatport (and iTunes)

Lets get the Daft Punk business out the way then....

What a monday night just gone. Millions of people simultaneously, across different countries, different time zones, stop what they're doing and stream the album we've all been waiting for, Daft Punks 'Random access memories'.

Nothing like this has happened in this current 'age' of music. Mainly because none of the established 'masters' who still make music have truly embraced it. Hell, Daft Punk created this era. This is why things being endlessly connected and looped to eachother is a good thing. Who needs record labels?

This was an 'event'. It was awesome watching (and participating) in the spontaneous discussions that sparked across the socials. Mainly via facebook and twitter. Dj/producers/consumers alike were providing running commentary and discussion as they listened track by track. I have to say, it was fuckin awesome being a part of that.

How much can you say about the promo, the hype, the record? The robots themselves? Everythings been said already.

I will say that theyre better than the record. Its great, but not perfect. Its so diverse. Some epic massive, scoping tunes, some solid timeless disco. Its pretty much two masters of their game making whatever the hell they wanted to. Which, if i have a taste in music, would be it.

This is my fav right now. That will change.

Lets face it, if youre reading this, youve already pre ordered the record.
been a while.

new site may be up soonish but for now im just gonna pretend ive never been away.
